The Beginning
My creative journey started back in 2012 at Tennessee State University. I began as a Journalism major, later switching to Integrated Marketing Communications. In 2013, I joined Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, Inc., where I served as VP of Marketing & Public Relations. That role opened the door for me to sharpen my design skills, experiment with branding, and start thinking like a marketer.
Before long, my work started circulating all over campus — and people took notice. Organizations began reaching out to collaborate on their campaigns and events, which led to the birth of Gerald’s Graphix, my very first freelance brand. What started as a small side hustle quickly became something much bigger.
By the end of 2016, I had built a full creative strategy, identity, and website for what would soon become my first design agency.
The Transition
In 2017, I made a decision that changed everything: I left college to go all in on my craft. I used my 9-to-5 to fund my business dreams and spent every free hour learning, creating, and strategizing for the future.
That year, my design agency officially launched; a place where I could merge creativity with strategy and help brands move with purpose.
After five years of perfecting my skill set, mastering industry tools, and building lasting client relationships, I took the ultimate leap. In 2018, I quit my 9-to-5 to pursue my business full-time..... and I’ve never looked back.
Full Time
Since then, it’s been full throttle. I relocated, expanded my client base, and honed my focus on brand strategy and web design; the two lanes where I bring the most transformation.
Today, I’ve had the honor of working with entrepreneurs and organizations featured on Netflix, Food Network, and major publications. Each project has one goal in common: to build brands that connect, convert, and stand out with confidence.
And as I continue to evolve, so does the vision.... creating space to mentor other creatives, collaborate with forward-thinking brands, and design experiences that truly move people.
